The maintenance of each aircraft lives in one place: the recurring tasks (with their due dates), the interventions already done and the reported defects.
Before you start
- Seeing maintenance needs read permission on the aircraft. To add tasks and interventions you need write permission on maintenance; to report a defect the permission to report is enough.
- Buttons you cannot use do not appear.
- Suggestions from the manufacturer's program need a plan that includes the maintenance feature.
See what is due
- From Home, under MY AIRCRAFT, tap the aircraft and then the Maintenance tab.
- At the top you see NEXT MAINTENANCE with a progress bar and the status: On track, Due soon or Overdue, with the days (for example "in 21 d") or hours left.
- Below you find the work In progress and RECENTLY COMPLETED. Tap See all for the full screen.

The Maintenance screen has the filters All, Due, Active and Done, with the sections IN PROGRESS, UPCOMING and COMPLETED. If you have more than one aircraft, choose the aircraft at the top, or Fleet to see the next due item of each.
The maintenance programme
The Programme collects the recurring tasks, for example the 100-hour inspection or the annual inspection. Each one has an interval in hours, in months or both: whichever comes first applies.
To add one:
- In the Maintenance screen tap +, then Recurring task (or open Maintenance programme, at the bottom of the screen, and tap +).
- Write the NAME (for example "100-hour inspection").
- Under EVERY (WHICHEVER COMES FIRST) set the hours, the months or both.
- If needed, set the TOLERANCE (OPTIONAL).
- Under LAST DONE choose the date and, if you know it, the airframe hours at that time: they are used to work out the next due date. If it was never done, choose Not done yet.
- Tap Add to programme.

A task is never deleted: open it and tap Retire to remove it from the active programme. You can bring it back later with Reactivate.
Log an intervention
When you have some work done (or plan one):
- In the aircraft's Maintenance tab tap Log intervention.
- Write the TITLE (for example "Oil & filter change") and choose the TYPE: Scheduled, Unscheduled, Inspection, AD compliance, Service bulletin, Repair, Modification, Component change or Other.
- Choose the STATUS: Completed, In progress or Planned. With Completed, set the DATE PERFORMED: it cannot be in the future.
- Write the AIRFRAME HOURS.
- Select the PROGRAMME TASKS DONE and the DEFECTS RESOLVED: completing the intervention reschedules the tasks and resolves the defects.
- If you like, fill in PERFORMED BY, COMPANY, CRS REFERENCE, COST, DESCRIPTION and NOTES.
- Tap Save intervention.

A Planned intervention starts with Start work and is closed with Complete intervention. A Completed intervention can be sealed with Sign record: from then on it cannot be changed, and this cannot be undone.
Report a defect
- Open the aircraft's Squawks tab and tap Report defect (or, in Maintenance, tap + and Report a defect).
- Under WHAT IS WRONG? describe the problem.
- Choose the SEVERITY: Low, Medium, High or Grounding. With Grounding the aircraft is marked unfit to fly until the defect is resolved, and when you book you get the warning that it is grounded.
- Under DETAILS write when it happens and what you noticed, then tap Report defect.

People who manage defects can then change the status on the defect page, under CHANGE STATUS: Mark in progress, Resolve (with an optional resolution note), Close or Reopen. They can also switch on Deferred defect (flight allowed with the defect open). Everyone else sees the status but cannot change it. On the same page you can see PHOTOS AND FILES and, if an intervention resolved the defect, open the Linked intervention.
Suggestions from the manufacturer's program
For catalog products (airframe, engine, propeller) AVIOFILE can suggest tasks and intervals taken from the official manuals.
- In the aircraft's Maintenance tab tap From the manufacturer's program. The number shows the suggestions to review.
- Each item is New, Changed, Linked or Ignored. For changed items you see how they differ from your task.
- Tap Accept to add the item to your program: say when it was last done (date, hours, cycles) or choose I don't know when it was last done. Then tap Add task (or Update task).
- Tap Ignore if you do not need the item: it comes back only if the manufacturer changes it. With Accept all you accept the complete ones in one go.

Accepting or ignoring needs maintenance permission on the aircraft; without it you can only read.
AeCI on condition extension
If you have an ultralight (VDS) with Italian registration and a Rotax 9XX engine, the Maintenance tab shows the AeCI 2025-01 on condition extension panel. It does not appear for other aircraft.
- Tap Read the AeCI note to open the note. With Show what the note says you read the main points.
- If you are the owner, tap Activate, read the Conditions, tick the confirmation of responsibility and tap Activate the extension. If you like, enter the date of the last on condition inspection.
- For each engine the panel shows TBO, Hours left and the calendar limit Without the extension and With the extension. If some data is missing (for example the date of the last overhaul) the manufacturer's limit still applies, and the panel says what is missing.
Only the owner activates or reconfirms the extension (Reconfirm if ownership changes); people with maintenance permissions can switch it off with Deactivate.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see Log intervention?
You need write permission on that aircraft's maintenance. People who can only report defects see Report defect.
Can I delete a task from the programme?
No. You retire it with Retire and it stays in the history.
