To log flights, deadlines and documents you first need the aircraft. All you need is the registration, the model and the hours shown in the logbook today.
Before you start
- Keep the aircraft's paper logbook at hand: you need the Airframe hours and, depending on the meter you use, Hobbs or Tach.
- The + button appears if you have permission to manage aircraft in at least one of your organizations. In your Personal organization you always do.
- If you belong to more than one organization you can choose which one the aircraft is added to.
Steps
The aircraft details
- In the Home tab, under MY AIRCRAFT, tap Add aircraft (shown when you have a single aircraft) or See all and then + (when you have more). If you have no aircraft yet, tap Add aircraft.
- If you belong to several organizations, choose in Organization where to add the aircraft. Yours is Personal.
- Enter the Registration (for example I-ABCD, 3 to 12 characters).
- In the Type field tap Find in the catalog (optional) and pick the model: Manufacturer and Model fill in by themselves. If the type has variants (for example 172S) pick the Variant. If your aircraft is not listed, type Manufacturer and Model by hand.
- In Details check the Category (Aeroplane by default) and, if you like, fill in Year, MTOW, Mode S code (6 hexadecimal digits, for example 33A1B2), Class (for example SEP), Home base, number of Engines and Fuel.
- In Time counted on choose which meter gives the aircraft hours: Hobbs, Tach, Flight time or Block time.

The counters
- In the Counters section enter the Airframe hours (required) and, if you chose Hobbs or Tach, that meter too: it is needed to log flights. Landings and Cycles are optional. Take the values from your paper logbook.
- With Counters as of set the date the values refer to (today by default).
- Leave I own this aircraft on if it is yours: you start with a 100% share (and with management permissions). You can add co-owners later.
- If you like, add a Photo (optional) and write some Notes.
- Tap Add aircraft.

If the catalog knows the fuels of the type and you did not pick one, Which fuel does it use? appears: pick one, or close it and decide later.
The form closes and the aircraft page opens, with Overview and Tech log (the aircraft's technical log, i.e. its flights). From then on the counters change only with flights or adjustments.
Add the main components
Engine, propeller and avionics are tracked separately, so their hours and limits stay apart from the airframe's. To add them you need the maintenance or management permission on the aircraft.
- Open the aircraft and tap the three dots at the top right (More actions).
- Choose Components & avionics. The page has two full-width tabs: Components and Avionics (for the cockpit equipment).
- Tap + (or Add component if the list is empty).
- In Kind choose for example Engine or Propeller. With From the catalog you search for the model; otherwise type Manufacturer and Model.
- Fill in Serial number, Position (for example 1, left, GPS 1) and the hours the component already has at installation, then the Life limits if the part has any: whichever comes first applies.
- Tap Install.

The technical sheet and rates
Every aircraft has a sheet with the data from the flight manual and, for school and club aircraft, the rates. Anyone who can see the aircraft can see it. The avionics are not here: they are in Components & avionics.
- Open the aircraft and tap the three dots at the top right (More actions): all the aircraft's actions are there, in one place.
- Choose Technical sheet (on a school or club aircraft it is called Technical sheet & prices).
- RATES lists the aircraft's hourly rates, with fuel included or not. The highlighted rate, Your rate, is the one you would pay today. On a private aircraft or a co-owner group's the section only appears if there are rates.
- TECHNICAL DATA collects seats, engine, propeller, landing gear, fuel, performance, speeds and weights.

The rates are the ones set in the aircraft's costs (see Aircraft costs). The technical data is filled in by whoever manages the aircraft: tap the tools icon at the top right (Edit sheet), enter only what you know from the flight manual and tap Save. Everything is optional and saving replaces the whole sheet. The flight manual always prevails.
Change the data later
From the aircraft page, More actions, Edit aircraft details. Counters cannot be changed there: they are corrected with Counter adjustments (needs the management permission). From there you can also change the Status: Active, Grounded, Sold or Archived. A sold or archived aircraft leaves the Home, the calendar, bookings and Maintenance and no longer counts among the open defects, and its future reservations are cancelled; you find it at the end of the full list, under ARCHIVED, with its flights, documents and history.
If the aircraft is lost or destroyed
For an aircraft that is gone for good (accident, theft, deregistration) you need the permission to manage the aircraft.
- Open the aircraft and tap the three dots at the top right (More actions).
- Choose Mark as lost or destroyed.
- Enter the Date of the loss (not in the future), the Cause (Accident, Theft or disappearance, Written off or scrapped, Other) and, if you like, a Note.
- Type the registration to confirm and tap Mark as lost.
The history stays: flights, maintenance, documents and accounts. After that date no more flights can be logged (those up to that day can, for example by importing the technical log), due dates stop, future reservations are cancelled and the seat in the plan is freed. The aircraft shows the Lost label and sits at the end of the list, under ARCHIVED. If there are flights logged after the date you chose, the loss is not recorded: choose a later date, or correct those flights first.
If it was a mistake, open More actions again and choose It was not lost: put back in service: the aircraft goes back to how it was and takes its seat in the plan again. The reservations that were cancelled do not come back.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add a photo of the aircraft?
Yes, if you have permission to upload documents on the aircraft. You can add it in the Add aircraft form, under Photo, or later from the aircraft page: tap the round button on the photo (Add photo or Change photo) and choose Take a photo or Photo library. Remove photo takes away the current one. Before showing it, the antivirus checks it: until it is done you see Checking the photo….
Can I change the registration?
Yes, with Edit aircraft details.
Why can't I see the + button?
Because in none of your organizations do you have permission to manage aircraft. In your Personal organization you always do.
