Training keeps courses, enrollments and signed lesson records in order. The course sets the minimums and the lessons, the instructor records and signs each lesson, the student reads it and acknowledges it.
Before you start
- You need a Flight school or School and club organization with the Training module in its plan (you see it in PLAN, see Create a school).
- Who does what:
- The admin creates courses, enrolls students and assigns instructors.
- The instructor writes and signs records only for the students they are assigned to.
- The student sees their own training and acknowledges signed lessons.
- On your own training you are always a student: even if you are an admin or instructor, you can't enroll yourself in a course or write or sign records for yourself.
- Students must already be in the organization with the Student role (see Members, roles and fees).
Create a course
The fastest way is to start from a template.
- In the school view open Overview and, under MORE, tap Courses & syllabus.
- Tap New course from a template.
- Choose a template (PPL(A) or LAPL(A)). You get a course with the legal minimums and a trace of lessons.
- If you like, change Code and Name, then tap Create draft course.

For a course from scratch tap + (New course) and fill in Code, Name, Category, Regulation and Description. The course starts empty: you write the syllabus afterwards.
Write and publish the syllabus
- Open the course and tap New version (or Edit draft if one already exists).
- In Minimums type the hours the student must reach for each type of time. Leave blank where there is no minimum.
- In Phases & lessons tap Add phase, then Add lesson inside the phase. For each lesson choose the type (flight, ground, simulator, briefing, exam), the planned time, the objectives and the exercises.
- Tap Save draft to continue later, or Publish.

Every phase needs at least one lesson. Once published a version can't be edited: to change it you create a New version. Enrollments already started stay tied to the version they began with.
Enroll a student
- Open the Students tab, tap the Enrollments icon at the top and then +. Or tap Enroll a student in the course, or Enroll in a course on the student's page.
- Choose the Student and the Course. Only courses with a published version are listed.
- Tap Assign instructors (optional), choose who follows the student and, if you like, Make primary. Only assigned instructors can write and sign. An instructor who has left the school shows as (no longer at the school): tap it to remove them.
- Check the Start date, add any Notes and tap Enroll student.

Write and sign a record
The instructor writes it after each lesson.
- Open the student's enrollment and tap New record. You can also tap a lesson in the list of phases.
- Choose the Lesson type: Syllabus, Repeat or Extra lesson. For the last two write the Reason: it is covered by the signature. An extra lesson can also be Outside the syllabus, with a free title.
- Check the Date and choose the Aircraft. For a ground lesson leave No aircraft. With an aircraft you can link the Linked flight the student logged.
- In Times type the minutes by type. In Exercises set a result only for the ones done.
- In Assessment choose the Result (Satisfactory, Unsatisfactory, Incomplete) and write the objective, notes for the student and the Next training objective.
- Tap Save draft.

- Open the draft, re-read it and tap Sign record. Confirm with Sign.

A draft does not count toward the student's progress until it is signed. Before signing you can tap Edit draft or Discard draft: a discarded draft stays on file anyway. Signing seals the record with the server time and needs the result to be set.
After signing nobody can edit the lesson. To fix a mistake tap Correct this record (the instructor who signed or an admin can), then Save correction and sign the new revision. The original stays on file as Superseded.
Follow the students
- The Students tab lists the students with their status and progress. Tap one to open the Training file: enrollments, records, the registry as a PDF and the Member profile. From here you also open the list of Enrollments.
- In the Instructors segment tap an instructor: the sheet offers the Member profile (roles, suspension) and, below it, the students they follow.
- If the instructor of a draft is no longer at the school, in the record (Edit draft) the admin finds Instructor of this record with (no longer at the school): choose who signs in their place, even if the school has only one instructor left.
- In an enrollment you see FLIGHT HOURS against the minimums, the lessons completed, MINIMUMS and RECORDS.
- In the MANAGE section you can change the Instructors, Put on hold (nothing can be written or signed), Resume, Complete the course or Withdraw the student. When completing, the app warns you if minimums are missing or drafts are unsigned. A closed enrollment is reopened with Reopen the enrollment.
- The LESSONS TO CHECK section flags flight lessons with no linked flight or with hours that differ from the flight by more than 5 minutes: they still count, but should be checked.
- Statistics (from Overview, under MORE) summarizes flights, hours and training by month.

For the student: My training
- In the school view open the Training tab (for the student it takes the place of Students) or tap My training in the Overview. From the pilot view open Menu and tap My training, in the ACTIVITY section. If something needs your attention you also see it on the Home and in the Overview. If your course has no instructor yet you read "No instructor assigned: ask the front desk".
- Under TO ACKNOWLEDGE tap a lesson signed by the instructor and read it.
- Tap Acknowledge. If you like, write a Comment, then confirm.

- Tap your course to open the registry. You see the HOURS, the MINIMUMS and the SIGNED LESSONS.
- Tap Download registry (PDF) to get the signed registry, with the document fingerprint to verify it. Then choose Share or Save.

Only signed records count toward your progress. The registry always stays yours: you can read it even if you leave the school or its plan expires.
Frequently asked questions
Can I enroll a student in a course that isn't published?
No. Publish the syllabus first: while it is a draft nobody can be enrolled.
Can I change the syllabus of a course already in use?
Create a New version and publish it. Enrollments in progress keep their starting version, new ones use the published one.
How do I remove a course I no longer use?
Open the course and tap Archive the course. No new students can be enrolled, existing enrollments continue and nothing is deleted.
